Minipop，这支来自美国加州的4人组合终于在2007年11月发行了她们首张正式专辑《A New Hope》。正如外界所期望的那样，专辑自推出后倍受好评，就连 Yahoo Music、Filter Magzine等一些着名音乐媒体也没吝啬对乐队、专辑的讚美之词。作为一支新晋团体，Minipop已迈出成功的第一步。

这支来自美国加州的4人乐队在圣诞节前发行了首张大碟，据说销量卖得还不错。今天仔细听了听，还颇有极地双子星的遗风，依旧是依靠音速处理音乐质地来表达悦耳的音调。在这一点上，乐队做得很成功。主要是归结于女主唱Kanne的嗓音，她的声音有点像在充满迷雾的Avalon小岛上女妖的歌声，迷人又模糊不已，非常有媚惑力。专辑中10首歌在编排上清新简单又自然，和女主唱的声音融合在一起，营造出一种低调、唯美、梦幻、飘渺的音乐意境。这正好体现出梦幻流行流派的特点有如天音般的歌声配以随之漂移的吉它或是合成器所营造的氛围音场，人声部分往往缥缈迷离，歌词部分也通常具有唯美、空灵的诗意色彩。
这是一张整体上听起来不会觉得乏味，听太多了又会有些厌倦的专辑，就像一杯放了太多糖的咖啡一样。为什幺了？毕竟他们和极地双子星比起来音乐中还缺少一种强烈的死亡浪漫，极地双子星音乐里流露出来的那种悲痛哀怨的本质是Minipop所无法照搬的。这也注定了Minipop这张处女作在音乐上内涵不够深，在配器方面缺少应有的变化也是他们的短处。不过还好这只是他们的第一张专辑，今后他们的路还长，还有机会去完善自身的不足。
