创作背景
OMI在接受採访时表示，自己在2007年的某个清晨醒来时，诞生了歌曲最初的创作灵感。2009年，他认识了音乐製作人克利夫顿·迪伦，并与迪伦建立了合作关係。迪伦为OMI提供了他自己在金斯顿的录音室。歌曲在这一过程中诞生。OMI表示，在创作初期歌曲的主歌及副歌部分分别只保留了两个和一个。
